My blogger experience

Hello everyone... As time has passed! .This time I will speak about my experience in this blog and in the course in general.

The truth is that my English is very bad, I must admit, and this experience help me a lot to improve my vocabulary. On the other hand, allowed to lose the fear to express in English. Fortunately, I not have problems in openly express or to speak in public, but to speak or write in English was quite rare for me. For that I believe that this blog was an excellent tools for us all, a dynamic mechanism for implement our progress.

Also to helping my learning, this blog allowed me to know the opinion of the classmates that I not have more personal contact. And was funny to know our tastes in common ... and strange opinions.

Personally, I liked write in this blog, did remember good times and think about issues that we not had discussed openly.

You know?, I love write, but the old way (like the old school), of way "romantic", I have several written (anything less a diary) on various issues, personal issues, short stories and some half-finished stories, but I not show because time after (say a couple of years) I say "I wrote that?", and criticize for “cursi" or your bad drafting ... maybe that's why I never did a Fotolog or write many things in Facebook. I still prefer the letters, and I still sending...until now nobody has complained....

Anyway...this blog was an exception for me, and really enjoy it ... I hope you too!

Good bye, a big hug to all.

My books

Hello, here I am again. This time I talk about books, great topic in my life, in fact, I hope talk about this since time ago...

From child I love reading (religious books inclusive), and always I search something that read. I am a restless person, and a good movie or a book make me feel brand new (like the song of Simply Red, remember you?).

Actually I read three books about political science, this talk about of democracy, political conflict and intolerance in our society postmodern. The authors are Slavoj Zizek, Chantal Mouffe and Alain Tourain. About Slavoj Zizek and the book "In defense of intolerance", he propose a intolerance like a element that make a real political dialogue, in where the confrontation is clear and make possible the political debate. In the beginning he exposed examples in USA about the utilization of ideal models for political purposes (like pregnancy in black woman and the abort). Then he argues his tesis and criticize the tolerant liberalism and multicultural.

A book that I remember in a special way, for a importante moment in my life, is a "Los zarpazos del puma" of Patricia Verdugo. In that time I was reading about politic in Chile, and this books make me discover the journalistic narrative, in fact, I read many books about this subject (like "El miedo en Chile", "Bucarest 187"). In this books the author talk the events of the dictatorship in Chile, the murder in a puma military helicopter and the experience of victims and murderers.

Always I find new books that read (but I not read religious books anymore). You have any interesting?

I see you

Gender integration in Chile

Hello everyone, today I will talk about gender and the public policies about this; about the inequality between woman and men, and the intencion of integration in the last years.

Our society, I think, show a clear intention to be a modern type of country, but whith emphasis in the economic field. For example, for combat the inequality, the public policies in the last years have been developed salary increases and more jobs for the woman. But this is insufficient. A effective public policy for this is, for example, the work permit for the men for the birth of babys (approved in July of 2005).

This public policy seeks to the equality in the family aspect, but also is a concrete intencion for remove the stigma of a natural process of the life, that this is not a problem for the work, and of exlusive responsability of the woman.

This is a good example, but the education is essencial for a real integration of gender in our society. Woman and men should be educated for understand a integral development in their lifes, in where the job, society and the family will not incompatible aspects.

I think that this is the reason for the discrimination, of many types, and a public policy of the education will be excelent beginning.

What do you think?

My Technology

About technology, my pieces favourite is my mp4...I love the music, in fact when I travel for many times from my house to university the music is vital for me.

Usually I bored in the public transport look strange people, but with the music I can imagine others places, like videoclips (you do not make fun ... I'm sure you do too!!!)

For that, mi Mom gift me in my birthday this wonderful piece. From this day I use it every day and change the albums every week.

I think that my life without the music would be very boring. The rock (my favourite music) every morning wake up my main. Today I remember to a Ronnie James Dio when I listen the last show in Chile, the last year, with you band "Heaven and Hell".

I hate the people who listen the music with out earphones, this way they make us to listen their music, usually is reggaeton and I hate it, really I do not understand …You don`t do it!!!

Anyway…if you travel alone and want to forget the traffic, strange people and discomfort do not do it without a good book or good music, but remember: use your earphones!!!, the people like me will thank you.

The rock is life

See you

Film and I

About movies I have not a favorite subject. For that I like a movie depends on the time and emotional state that I have. For example, when I was a child I watched a Chinese film "A bullet in the head" of John Woo, which combines martial arts with a story about loyalty and betrayal of a group of friends after a war. This film takes about four hours, but I was very interested and connected with the story. I recommend you watch it.
A great film of my adolescence stage was "Good bye Lennin," a German film that is a great story about a socialist woman in a coma that wakes up after the fall of the Berlin Wall, but their children pretending keep her in East Germany, a situacion exciting and very funny. This movie was special because at that moment I was defining my political stance, and because I watched whith old friend with very special in my life.
About Chilean films I think that they are still in a stage of exploring topics "taboo" after the militar regimen, still do not address other areas. I think they are still far from reaching a more refined stage. Anyway my favorite movie is "Machuca" has a good script and a great story...

A providential decision

The February 27 was a strange night. A few days ago I had come from a long vacation on the beach and in the country. I wanted to see friends who stayed in Santiago and know about who had not returned.
We agreed to go of partying. The plan was to start in a bar and finish up in the apartment of a guy who insisted on the funny of the terrace of the building. But there was a problem; a friend was sick and I refused to go without him.
A half past three in the morning was alone with my cat in the living room regretting my decision and I imagining the beautiful view of the department when started a movement that did get out of bed to all family. While I was looking for my shoes, the face of fear for my mother warned me that we were living something extraordinary. The embrace of my brother and the incredible phenomenon of light flashes in the sky are the main memories of a devastating earthquake.
At noon, the house was a mess. The news showed the tragedy in the rest of country and of the Nature showing their power.

That evening, holding up my books, I thought of my friends and the horror of an earthquake on the 12th floor...
